TUBITAK Project First Phase Parent Focus Group Meetings from 12 different provinces in Turkey are completed!

Assoc. Prof. Adile Gülşah Saranlı has been continuing its activities within the framework of her ongoing TUBITAK 3501 Project. In this context, field studies were conducted according to the NUTS-1 sampling method in Turkey to assess the needs of families of gifted children in 12 provinces. In the first part of this scope, interviews with families in Science and Art Centers in different provinces such as Niğde, Düzce, İstanbul Kartal, İstanbul Ataşehir, Ankara Mamak and Ankara Yıldız were completed. In the second part, families in Muş, Erzurum, Aydın, Ordu, Adıyaman, Balıkesir, Amasya and Hatay were reached and Focus Group Meetings were conducted to determine their needs. In the first year of this project, the project was successfully completed with 147 gifted families in 14 Science and Art Centers from 12 different provinces of Turkey.
