Early Childhood Education Students Presented Their Research at International Conferences

Students from the Program of Early Childhood Education at TED University Faculty of Education successfully represented our university by presenting the research they conducted under the supervision of Dr. Melike Kandemir at international conferences.

Ravan Cahide Zümbül presented her study titled "The Effect of Traditional Shadow Play on the Phonological Awareness of Children Aged 60–72 Months: The Case of Karagöz and Hacivat" at the 34th International Creative Drama in Education Congress on May 14, 2026. The study examined the effects of the traditional Turkish shadow play Karagöz and Hacivat on the phonological awareness of preschool children and explored the potential of cultural heritage elements to support language development in early childhood education.

Zeynep Ebrar Olcay, Sümeyya Demir, and Mustafa Alperen Karakaya presented their study titled "Designing Accessible and Innovative Learning Environments in Early Childhood Education: A Museum-Based Action Research in the Classroom" at the 13th International Eurasian Educational Research Congress (EJER Congress 2026) on May 15, 2026. Their presentation shared the findings of an action research study that employed a museum-based learning approach to design accessible and innovative learning environments in preschool classrooms.
