Guest Speaker in PECE 201 Course: Ebru Hezen, A Comprehensive Lecture on the PYP Approach

Within the scope of the PECE 201 – Alternative Approach and Models in Early Childhood Education course, conducted by Assist. Prof. Dr. Fatma Yalçın, Ebru Hezen, the PYP Coordinator of Nesibe Aydın Schools, Ankara, was invited as a guest speaker.
Drawing upon her extensive professional experience as a PYP coordinator, Ms. Hezen offered valuable insights into the core philosophy of the PYP framework, its implementation processes in schools, and shared practical examples from real classroom experiences. Her presentation was enriched with interactive learning activities commonly used within PYP classrooms, allowing participants to engage in a holistic exploration of the topic.
Through this session, students deepened their understanding of inquiry-based learning strategies, the transdisciplinary themes of the PYP, as well as the roles of teachers and students within the program. Furthermore, they gained knowledge about PYP project practices and the structure of daily classroom routines in PYP settings.
