As part of the PECE 201 – Alternative Approaches and Methods in Early Childhood Education course offered by TED University’s Department of Early Childhood Education, a field trip to Lake Eymir was organized under the guidance of Dr. Fatma Yalçın.

The aim of this event was to provide students with the opportunity to experience and apply theoretical knowledge of nature and forest pedagogy in a real outdoor learning environment. During the visit, students engaged in path pedagogycircle timesustainable outdoor activities, and reflection circles, which are essential components of forest pedagogy practice.

This experience enhanced students’ understanding of nature-based education and encouraged them to incorporate these approaches into their future teaching practices.
