PECE 201 Students Observe Montessori Practice at Sihirli Bahçe Montessori Preschool

Under the guidance of Dr. Fatma Yalçın, students of the PECE 201 – Alternative Approaches and Methods in Early Childhood Education course visited Sihirli Bahçe Montessori Preschool as part of their field observation.
During this visit, students had the opportunity to see how the Montessori philosophy is implemented in real-life early childhood settings in Türkiye. They observed the classroom environment, materials, children’s independent routines, and teacher–child interactions, gaining valuable insights into how theory translates into practice.
This experience enriched students’ understanding of Montessori pedagogy and helped them reflect on its application in diverse cultural and educational contexts.
