Our research assistant, Elif Naz Altaş-Kuşhan, has been accepted as a visiting scholar within the scope of the ERASMUS+ Short-Term Doctoral Traineeship Mobility to participate in the third iteration of the “UNESCO RIELA (UNESCO Chair on Refugee Integration through Education, Language and Arts)” project conducted at the University of Glasgow.

Under the academic supervision of Prof. Dr. Alison Phipps, a leading scholar in the field, Altaş-Kuşhan will take part in academic activities and meetings held at the center. She will also contribute to the process by delivering a general presentation related to her doctoral research topic.

Throughout the two-week visit, she will have the opportunity to observe, on site, the methods that support the systematic integration of refugees into society. These observations are expected to make a significant contribution to her doctoral dissertation, which focuses on refugee children’s education.
