Second Training of Nature-Based Learning Series for TED Schools Teachers Completed

The second teacher training for preschool teachers working at TED Schools across Turkey was held online on March 22, 2025. The training program titled “Education in Outdoor Learning Centers, Organization of Centers, and the Role of the Teacher” by TED University Assistant Professor Dr. Fatma Yalçın focused on practices supporting the nature-based learning approach.
The planning of outdoor learning centers, their effective use, and the guiding role of the teacher in this process were discussed in detail in the training. The online training, which was held with the participation of 276 teachers, also included sample outdoor activities for different age groups.
This training is a continuation of the first session titled “Learning in Nature in the Preschool Period: Sample Activities” held on November 12, 2024. TED Schools teachers are strengthened in the integration of out-of-school learning environments into early childhood education with this series, where they have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills on nature-based learning approaches.
