Within the scope of the PECE 102 – Practicum I, conducted by the Program of Early Childhood Education at TED University, teacher candidates have begun their observation practices under the supervision of Dr. Fatma Yalçın and Dr. Melike Kandemir. In this context, students visited the Nursery and Day Care Center of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change and Dr. Ufuk Ege Kindergarten, and started their observation studies as of March 3, 2026, after collaboration with school administrators and teachers.

This practicum is designed to connect theoretical knowledge with practical experience by providing teacher candidates with the opportunity to observe early childhood education settings in real-life contexts.

During the process, teacher candidates interact with both teachers and children while examining classroom practices and learning environments. In addition, they observe the cognitive, motor, physical, social, and emotional development of children from different age groups, which supports their professional development and helps them become familiar with diverse school cultures.
