Dr. Dt. Tuğçe Talay was our guest on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, within the scope of the PECE103 Child Health, Nutrition and First Aid course conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adile Gülşah Saranlı. We thank her.

Our students visited TED Trabzon College as part of the TED Ambassadors project

TED University Preschool Teaching 4th grade students Azra İrem Okvuran, Gökçen Ekmen and Merve Bayram visited TED Trabzon College on November 25-26-27, 2024 as part of the TED Ambassadors Project carried out in collaboration with the Turkish Education Association and TED University.

Ambassador Information Meeting was held

On 12.11.2024, department project coordinator Lect. Assist. Melike Kandemir organized an information meeting for the early childhood education department of the TED Ambassador project. At the meeting, information about the application to the project, and the purpose and functioning of the project was shared. In addition, Hamide Nur Şimşekoğlu, one of the project participants last semester, shared her experiences with the project.

Guest Speaker at PECE 403: Nuray Toruntay

On November 11, 2024, Nuray Toruntay, a preschool teacher working in Ankara Private Tevfik Fikret Kindergarten, was invited as a guest to the PECE403 “Play in Early Childhood Education” course conducted by Lecturer Melike Kandemir. Our guest, who has 20 years of teaching experience in her field, presented examples of effective practices related to play, shared her teaching experiences, and shared her experiences and thoughts on how theory and practice can be combined in the field of play in early childhood education.

Early Childhood Education Program Advisory Board Meeting-III was Held!

The 3rd meeting of the TEDU Early Childhood Education Program Advisory Board was held on Friday, October 11, 2024, at TED University. The meeting started with a presentation by the Head of the Preschool Education Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif Buldu about the program, and then the department advisory board members evaluated the program's functioning and its areas of improvement. On April 26, 2024, Melek Eda Şen, a preschool teacher working in a public kindergarten, was invited as a guest to the PECE302/EDUC301 “Classroom Management” course conducted by Lecturer Melike Kandemir. Our guest, who has 15 years of teaching experience in her field, presented examples of effective classroom management practices to our students, shared her teaching experiences, and shared her experiences and thoughts on how theory and practice can be combined in the field of classroom management.
