Dr. Çağla Öneren Şendil gave an online seminar namely “Çocuğum İlkokula Hazır mı? Güçlü bir Başlangıç: Okul Öncesi Dönem Çocuklarının İlkokula Hazırbulunuşluğu” to the parents, teachers and administrators of Toki Göksu Kindergarten on May 26, 2022. In the seminar; the following topics were covered; misconceptions about readiness for primary school, differences in the expectations of parents and teachers about readiness, the characteristics of ready children, the difficulties that children experience when they start primary school and the responsibilities of families to overcome these difficulties, how to evaluate the summer period before starting primary school and what kind of studies can support children.
