PECE 201 Students Observe Reggio Emilia Practice at Dadya Çocukları Preschool
Under the guidance of Dr. Fatma Yalçın, students of the PECE 201-Alternative Approach and Models in Early Childhood Education course visited Dadya Çocukları Preschool as part of their field observation.
During this visit, students had the opportunity to see how the Reggio Emilia approach is implemented in real-life early childhood settings in Türkiye. They observed the physical environment of the school, the classroom materials, the daily routines that support both children’s curiosity for exploration with art and the teacher–child interactions, gaining valuable insights into how theory is implemented into practice.
This experience enriched students’ understanding of Reggio Emilia pedagogy and helped them reflect on its application in diverse cultural and educational contexts.
