As the Faculty of Education, we hosted our Preschool Teacher Training preparatory class students at our faculty. During this meeting, which took place on March 5, 2026, our students had the opportunity to explore the "Teacher+" model, representing the Faculty of Education's vision for next-generation teaching, and experiential learning spaces structured with Learning Engineering competencies.
Within the framework of our Faculty’s Learning Engineering and Teacher+ vision, we look forward to welcoming you to experience technology, closely observe digital production processes, and take an inspiring first step in your teaching journey as future educators.
At the same time, this gathering offers a valuable opportunity for us to come together and for you to become more familiar with our department’s academic environment.

On February 20, 2026, a training session titled “Writing Learning Outcomes for Creative Drama Workshops” was conducted by Lecturer Dr. Melike Kandemir within the scope of the Contemporary Drama Association Early Childhood Unit.
This semester, our senior pre-service teachers have commenced their practicum as part of the PECE 402 - Teaching Practice 2 course, conducted under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çağla Öneren Şendil, Assist. Prof. Dr. Funda Eda Tonga Çabuk and Lecturer Dr. Melike Kandemir. Following the introductory and orientation meetings held on February 18, 2026, with school administrators and mentor teachers at TOKİ Göksu Kindergarten, Atatürk Kindergarten, and Mehmet Meto Kindergarten, the practicum process has officially begun.
Our research assistant, Elif Naz Altaş-Kuşhan, has been accepted as a visiting scholar within the scope of the ERASMUS+ Short-Term Doctoral Traineeship Mobility to participate in the third iteration of the “UNESCO RIELA (UNESCO Chair on Refugee Integration through Education, Language and Arts)” project conducted at the University of Glasgow.
An article co-authored by Assist. Prof. Dr. Funda Eda Tonga Çabuk, a faculty member in the Department of Early Childhood Education at TED University, and Research Assistant Elif Naz Altaş-Kuşhan, titled “Valuing diversity in early childhood education: Comparative analysis of New Zealand, Singapore, and Australia curriculum frameworks” has been published in the Asia Pacific Journal of Education, which is indexed in SSCI (Q2) and Scopus (Q1) categories.
Within the scope of the course PECE 201 – Alternative Approaches and Models in Early Childhood Education, conducted by Assistant Professor Fatma Yalçın, the session hosted Assistant Professor Funda Eda Tonga Çabuk as a guest speaker.
As part of the Sharing with Schools Day, we met with school administrators and preschool teachers from schools with protocols and collaborations with TED University on February 24, 2024. The program, which began with opening speeches by the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Erdinç Çakıroğlu, and the Head of the Department of Preschool Education, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif Buldu, continued with school presentations and various workshops.
